Each ring is made with high-quality American Solid Rose Gold and is suitable for daily wear. I mill these bands out of a solid piece of extruded gold, so they have no solder seams, and the metal is much harder than a cast or bench-worked piece will be. This ring is inspired by a 1731 Mourning Ring, see the 6th Photo. Made in 18k gold with black enamel these Momento Mori rings were popular in the 18th and early 19th centuries. They remind us of a loss, or that we are all mortal. The hourglass sand is running out on us all.
